Loving the park!

This sign is posted next to the pool at the hotel where I’m staying. I was wondering … if I want to go for a swim, do you think I’d have to sign a waiver?
Single Post for the Weekend –
The hotel where I’m staying in Beverly Hills, the Beverly Laurel Hotel, is kinda cheesy – you have to pay for internet, they don’t have coffee makers in the rooms & they don’t have room service. I wanted a glass of wine, so with iPad and earbuds in tow, I walked down to a cute little corner diner right next door & I’m having a glass of wine while posting
Yesterday I got an award for working at PMB for 10 years. They had a party so I thought I should attend. Good thing I did because food was catered by Chipotle and it was really good, AND there was cake!
Afterwards I went home and Akuch was just finishing up feeding Alo. She wasn’t gone 10 minutes before he fell asleep in my arms.
He passed out, but only for about 35 minutes.
Then we went for a walk. I think Alo wants to be a lifeguard when he grows up.
That’s when Alo thought maybe he’d rather work in sea life rescue.
One more photo before we headed back up the hill.
Lastly, Maya reading with Pappa.
Pappa took Maya to the Zoo Friday morning and took lots of pictures of her with the goats at the petting corral. Perhaps one day he’ll share those with me so I can share them on my blog… ???
Hopefully that was enough pictures to make up for only one post over the weekend.

In case anyone is interested in knowing how Grandma’s doing on her trip, she’s commented on a couple of my blogs. An easy one to find would be yesterday’s.
Last night we had dinner with Robb, Akuch & Alo at Tender Greens to use the gift card they gave me for my birthday. It was really good. I would definitely go there again.
Alo ate like big boy.
His arms and hands are always in action looking for something to grab onto!
Reading Alo’s second favorite book.
Alo – true to his name, looking above.
Lunch today with Bill @ Nati’s – 11:30.

I suppose only a grandma can sit & video tape every move her grandkids make …
Here’s another YouTube video of Maya. This one is with the bubble machine.
Evan found out yesterday he has stage 4 lung cancer. From what I was able to Google, this is not good news. I only texted with him after his doctor appointment, so I’m limited in what I know. He’ll be in the office sometime today, and I’ll get more information.

Robb sent me these great pictures of Akuch & Alo with Sapna & Veena.
Sapna is one of my (home) students and is about 12 weeks pregnant. I’m looking forward to seeing her through her pregnancy. Her daughter, Veena (3 yrs old), has already attended her first yoga practice where she spent much of her time playing quietly on her sticky mat reading a kids’ book on yoga and doing some poses when she felt like it while the rest of us practiced. It was great having that young energy share space with us!
Below is my PMB Yoga group whom I teach during the lunch hour once a week. Jen Garcia, second from the left, is also about 12 weeks pregnant. This one will be a little trickier, since as time goes by I will need to bring in extra props to make her yoga pregnancy experience a little more comfortable. I’m really proud of this group of yogins. Last week was the first time ALL of them had their feet away from the wall and I have a picture to show for it!
I’m back at work today.

Sometimes I like to turn on the video & follow Maya around to see where it leads us. Friday after swim …
Bruce and I had dinner with Bill last night at PF Changs in Mission Valley. Dinner was great & Bill was dropped off with leftovers to feed him another meal.

So I go out to the patio this morning & find that some critter, while crawling along our block wall, knocked off one of our blooming orchids!
Poor thing… I’m preparing to teach at 9am, so I scooped it up & placed it in a temporary holding tank (which could end up being permanent).
Yesterday, Akuch took the day off to take care of some stuff, so I didn’t have Alo. But I did go to swim with Bruce & Maya.
At the pool, there are lots of little pool toys. Maya was playing with a plastic shark that swam away from her & landed at the bottom of the deep end, which is really only about 5′ deep. She insisted that Zack, her swim coach retrieve it, but instead, he held her up to take in a breath & pushed her to the bottom of the pool where she snagged the shark & came up with it pleased with herself that she had her precious shark back.
More to come tomorrow.

Morgan sent me these pictures from the Zoo this week. The twins were on a field trip and Morgan was a volunteer parent chosen to be in charge of “random children.” hmmm… Can you find the monkey??
Mom/Grandma has sent a couple messages from abroad via comments to blog posts. Look for those & see what she’s up to. You can also respond to her comment if you want.
Note to Mom … Yesterday we had a big lunch at Nati’s with Bill. The whole family was there … except you. You’re missed & we hope you’re having a great time. Be safe & keep the comments coming. Love you!
Today, Alo and Amma. It’s a beautiful day. Perhaps a walk to the beach is in order.
