Happy Hour

Last Friday Alo and I stopped by after the park for some Moana Drive Happy Hour. I think I like the group photos the best. The more the happier!

Today … My last Thursday music class with Maya. I’ll miss seeing all our little friends, but starting next week the schedule changes and we’ll be doing gymnastics instead.

AND Nati’s with Papa Bill at 11:30, then I’m teaching an afternoon restorative class in La Mesa & an evening “twists” class at home.

OH!! & Robb’s in town this weekend. He arrived late last night.

While I have your attention, please watch the following YouTube clip. It’ll only take up 1 minute of your time.

San Francisco

Giants! Somehow Robb made his way into Candlestick Park for the Giants win over KC Saturday night & managed to show proof from three different locations.

Part of the reason, I’m sure, that he posed in three different locations is that according to his text, he snuck in, so he didn’t have a seat. I don’t know all the details, & can’t really say what that says about Candlestick Park’s security, but WOO HOO… We watched the game on tv & he got to see it in person!!! San Francisco’s welcome gift to Robb!

Pony rides, fire engines & snakes

A last minute decision – Ron called yesterday & asked if we wanted to got to the Harvest Festival at Pt Loma Nazarene. Invitation accepted, and what a good day we had!

It started with a ride on a horse drawn carriage. I didn’t get a photo of the horses, but here’s a photo of what I looked across at.

Then we got to climb into Station 22’s fire engine (nostalgia for me).

Then the pony ride (Alo’s first). Enjoy this video!

Lastly, Alo and Maya got up close & personal with a boa constrictor. Both were unfazed by the friendly creepy crawler.

Thursday

We were the first ones to music class yesterday so Maya scored on getting the first choice of toys in the basket. Not only did she look adorable, but she also scored on the helicopter!

Story time – the 3 Little Pigs:

Meanwhile, Alo & Akuch went to the pumpkin patch with Alo’s friend Hunter.

We picked the twins up from school after lunch at Nati’s with Bill. I bribed a smile & pose out of them with a peppermint patty.

Yoga

My yoga classes are growing so I thought I’d share a few photos. Above, in Salamba Sarvangasana (aka shoulder stand)

Above, Halasana (aka plow pose).

Above, the final process – Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (modified supported bridge pose).

I had two other students doing their Salamba Sarvangasana over chairs at the other wall.

Birthday Play Date

Happy birthday yesterday to Jennifer – a good excuse for a play date!

What would really be nice is if they could be still for just a very short time so I can take a photo that isn’t all blurry …

Pumpkin Patch

Ok, so that’s not really a pumpkin patch, but Sparty sure is one happy pumpkin!

Last week Akuch took Alo to get a pumpkin.

They came home with the bigger pumpkin, and they’re going to wait for Robb to come down on the 29th to carve it.

Here’s Maya picking out her pumpkin.

Such a big tear

It’s true … Alo has the magical gift of being able to shed a tear in under 5 seconds. No matter how big or small the problem, a tear is always on standby in his tear ducts waiting to make its rapid exit.

These aren’t normal tears, either. These are strong tears, able to linger on the cheek for long periods of time, sometimes hours, and even days past the “incident.” For reals …

But on the other hand, this little man has the ability to bring on standing-on-my-head laughter. Here he is dissecting my belly button. If you look up close, he’s got both hands ripping my abdomen apart at the seams.

I was glad Robb was close by with his phone to take a picture!
