Cape May is getting very close to being done. The floors are beautiful, but covered with paper for protection while finishing work is done inside, so I don’t have photos yet.

It’s the end of the day. I left Cape May a couple hours ago. By now I believe all the cabinets should be in and the knobs placed, including the vanity in the bathroom. The piles of wood and concrete the concrete guys left there should be cleaned up and the place should look as though it’s really coming together. It’s getting really exciting!

At 4754 today, concrete gets poured, cabinet installation begins and the flooring repair in the loft begins! After today, it will be all down hill. I can’t wait to see how the driveway and walkways turn out.

I’m heading out now to take Bear for a walk, then gymnastics with Maya, lunch at Nati’s with Bill, teaching in La Mesa this afternoon, then back home to teach an evening class. Thursday’s are by far my busiest day of the week.
Annie’s got her ups and downs. Today’s not a good day. She doesn’t have much of an appetite, and she’s lost quite a bit of weight. We’re just taking it day by day, and keeping her comfortable and loved. She still seems to have enough energy to follow me around the house & hang out at my feet while I sit in the office. Here are the girls now:

We Skyped last night from Ron & Jen’s. All seems well in the Bay Area. Alo showed off some of his numbering and color skills. Here’s a photo Akuch sent me earlier in the day yesterday.
It looks like the good weather is extending up north.

I think it was the 4th of July… [Chicago]. But actually it was Saturday the 7th of March somewhere near Walnut Creek – a nice photo of the family.
Meanwhile back in SD, Jen’s niece Jessica and friends visiting SD from someplace cold. I believe they call it Ohio.
Jessica tastes her first oyster on the half shell.
But that didn’t stop her from trying an oyster shooter.

It was a fun happy hour at South Coast Monday night.
Thursday – day 5 (& the last day) of my workshop. No gymnastics for me. No Nati’s for me either.

When we were babysitting Saturday evening, Sparty was so tired, he could barely sit up straight. I took 2 videos. Here he’s drinking from the water bottle. His eyes were so tired. I’ll save the other video for later in the week.
I’m in a 5 day workshop this week that started yesterday. I got home totally wasted yesterday. Today, more of the same.

After gymnastics Thursday, Maya helped Pappa and the tapers down at Cape May – mixing mud.
Here, she’s inspecting the kitchen to make sure the tapers were doing a good job. She needed to climb the ladder to get up close to the ceiling.
After a close inspection, she gave her approval and we all went to Nati’s.
