Bees!

Above – Another photo of new bikes at Liberty Station.

A couple weeks ago Ron took the kids to see “The Bees,” literally! He’s got a friend who’s a bee keeper who allowed the kids an up close and personal look into bee keeping.

This kiddo loves bugs. Don’t worry, it’s a male bee. Males don’t have stingers.  This one on the other hand forced a pretty good smile considering she’s not as fond as her little friend. Can you tell?Hogan is pretty confused with this weather and is keeping himself out of the shade as much as possible these days. I believe it’s going to be a shorter than usual hibernation this year.

Morgan sent me this photo of JR from the Chargers game Sunday. I can’t believe how big & handsome he’s getting. Watch out ladies!!Blogged on Amma’s iPhone from SF with LOVE!

Super Moon

In case you missed this, according to 10 News online:

“On Monday morning at 6:15 a.m. EST, the moon will reach its perigee, or closest point to Earth, measuring a distance of 221,524 miles away — the closest it’s been since Jan. 26, 1948. The moon was even closer to Earth in January 1912 and January 1930.

The moon officially becomes full roughly two and a half hours later, making this a supermoon and the closest one in 68 years.”

I took this photo at 6am PST so it was already moving away and shrinking.

Ain’t Misbehaving

Above – There’s one who wasn’t misbehaving, at least for a short while while she was passed out on our couch the night before she left to go back home.

These two haven’t been misbehaving, not since we took them for a visit to a dog behaviorist who explained what has to be done to gain respect from them which in turn will transform them into pets rather than animals (aka bad dogs)…

I wonder if it’ll work on Sparty… ???From Robb. He took the kids to play music. The harp …Cello…ViolaBass …Percussion Trombone …Recorder…

Here’s a sneak preview of his upcoming debut …

A special PS to Grandma JoJo … this morning I was talking to the kids about getting to fly to Ohio to see their Gramma JoJo & Maya said “She’s my favorite.” I said what about you other Gramma? & she said “I love all of them.” It was so sweet.

Dedication to a Legend

Above – A photo of Evan’s license plate.

When the company I work for (Pacific Medical Buildings aka PMB) moved its office shortly after Evan Stone died, the company honored Evan by naming a conference room after him. Some items of interest in that room are (1) a photo of Evan’s license plate on his red Tesla that was buried with him (the license plate, not the Tesla), (2) Evan’s hat (he loved that hat), and (3) etched on the glass door of the room is his digital signature, one I saved on the network and placed in many PDFs of filings, letters, agreements and whatever else needing his signature.

As I’ve mentioned before, I knew Evan since 1992 when I worked with him at a law firm, and I later hooked up to work with him at PMB. He was a dear friend of not only me but his entire PMB family.

When I walked by the conference room and saw the license plate photo it brought tears to my eyes, and it touched my heart to see etched on the door the signature that became part of my every working day there.

Evan truly was, as one of his friends told me yesterday “one of the good guys.”

The “Other” OB

Above – Local art on a building at the Ocean Beach Street Fair last Saturday in San Francisco.

This was the 3rd Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair for them, so it’s got some growing to do. It only took up two blocks, had two bands (one at each end) and various booths. We were looking for more of a kids event, but the only things they had for the kids to do were a bounce house and small pumpkin patch.

This top photo is from the east looking west. See the ocean in the background?

Here’s Alo in the middle of the bounce house.

Alo, me and Kando at the pumpkin patch. It was hot and Alo quickly made a mess of that popsicle.

In front of a band with signage relating to Ocean Beach.

A little nose picking along the way. I actually think this photo was taken at the Redwood Forest that morning.

And then some more in the car on the way home.

The SF Bay Bridge heading east toward the end of the bridge where new construction is complete.

Back at the house Alo made us pizza!

Kando had some …

Bath time…

Brushing teeth…

Then we read a couple books and off to bed.
