Ain’t Misbehaving

Above – There’s one who wasn’t misbehaving, at least for a short while while she was passed out on our couch the night before she left to go back home.

These two haven’t been misbehaving, not since we took them for a visit to a dog behaviorist who explained what has to be done to gain respect from them which in turn will transform them into pets rather than animals (aka bad dogs)…

I wonder if it’ll work on Sparty… ???From Robb. He took the kids to play music. The harp …Cello…ViolaBass …Percussion Trombone …Recorder…

Here’s a sneak preview of his upcoming debut …

Just Bloggin’

Above – Enjoying a sunset courtesy of Daddy.

I’m still (and always) trying to catch up on posting my photos. These are all pre-Halloween photos.

This is a pumpkin Alo made at preschool.Baking cookies for Alo’s preschool bake sale…

Winding down after bath time with a little snack of popcorn.Happiness is … DESSERT!

This one’s for KJ. Dukha!! I ordered the dukha online and used the olive oil you bought. Very good stuff.Ron said the kids wanted to fly a kite…

Next up, Alo plays a bunch of musical instruments, also pre-Halloween.

I’ll close with this …

A special PS to Grandma JoJo … this morning I was talking to the kids about getting to fly to Ohio to see their Gramma JoJo & Maya said “She’s my favorite.” I said what about you other Gramma? & she said “I love all of them.” It was so sweet.

Alo’s field trip to the farm.

Complete with milking the cow!

Here’s Alo and Kando sporting their new rain boots.

Finally, after about a 45 minute wait in line …

Sweet …

Now this is pretty darn cute!

Dedication to a Legend

Above – A photo of Evan’s license plate.

When the company I work for (Pacific Medical Buildings aka PMB) moved its office shortly after Evan Stone died, the company honored Evan by naming a conference room after him. Some items of interest in that room are (1) a photo of Evan’s license plate on his red Tesla that was buried with him (the license plate, not the Tesla), (2) Evan’s hat (he loved that hat), and (3) etched on the glass door of the room is his digital signature, one I saved on the network and placed in many PDFs of filings, letters, agreements and whatever else needing his signature.

As I’ve mentioned before, I knew Evan since 1992 when I worked with him at a law firm, and I later hooked up to work with him at PMB. He was a dear friend of not only me but his entire PMB family.

When I walked by the conference room and saw the license plate photo it brought tears to my eyes, and it touched my heart to see etched on the door the signature that became part of my every working day there.

Evan truly was, as one of his friends told me yesterday “one of the good guys.”

The “Other” OB

Above – Local art on a building at the Ocean Beach Street Fair last Saturday in San Francisco.

This was the 3rd Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair for them, so it’s got some growing to do. It only took up two blocks, had two bands (one at each end) and various booths. We were looking for more of a kids event, but the only things they had for the kids to do were a bounce house and small pumpkin patch.

This top photo is from the east looking west. See the ocean in the background?

Here’s Alo in the middle of the bounce house.

Alo, me and Kando at the pumpkin patch. It was hot and Alo quickly made a mess of that popsicle.

In front of a band with signage relating to Ocean Beach.

A little nose picking along the way. I actually think this photo was taken at the Redwood Forest that morning.

And then some more in the car on the way home.

The SF Bay Bridge heading east toward the end of the bridge where new construction is complete.

Back at the house Alo made us pizza!

Kando had some …

Bath time…

Brushing teeth…

Then we read a couple books and off to bed.

More from the North

Photos from Saturday morning’s trip to Redwood Regional Park in Oakland.

The weather in the Bay Area was like San Diego Santa Ana weather. Hiking in the shade of the redwood trees made for a good Saturday morning. This was interesting – a path of “create with nature.”We created. And destroyed …Quite a ways into the hike there was a playground! We took some time to collect seeds for Alo’s school seed collection project.Beauty on the way back to the car …

Lunch on the way to the “other” Ocean Beach Street Fair (in SF) – a really good little Mexican restaurant in Oakland.

Friday at the Park (Walnut Creek)

Friday after taking Bart to Walnut Creek and checking into my hotel, I met up with Akuch and we took the boys to Larkey Park.We went for dinner. Then back home for a bath…And a little playtime.

Today’s my last day in the Bay Area. It’s been a busy weekend catching up, and I had a really good time. I’ll share more photos in the coming days.

From the South – Yep, this pony tail belongs to Maya!
