Alo Celebrates – Number One!

Alo

It’s embarrassing to say that after such a great birthday party yesterday, I have nothing to show for it. I haven’t downloaded my pictures (the disadvantage of using a “real” camera), but plan on doing that tonight.

So I thought I should dig up something about Alo since the post should really be all about him. Here’s a video I took last week of Alo pushing the wagon around the kitchen with Pappa’s help (I hope I didn’t already post this…).

He is so darn cute and smart. We’ve gotten quite used to having him around a couple times a week, & I think he’s gotten used to us, too. I will really miss him when he goes away, but I keep telling myself it’ll “only be” for a couple years…

Tune in tomorrow to see some photos of the birthday party. It was a LOT of fun. Everyone had a good time. The weather was perfect under the tree & it was a great place for all the kids to play & fly their kites & other flying toys.

Milk Beard

We had Maya and Sparty yesterday from 5pm until a little after 11pm. Robb, Akuch and Alo stopped by for about a half hour, just at the right time – Sparty cried almost the entire time they were here, but he still managed a photo with Auntie Akuch …

There were some “happy times” tho …

Maya was sound asleep in the Pack’n Play when the Sea World fireworks went off and woke her up. From that point on she slept on my lap. This morning Maya Facetime’d me while I was out on my walk & told me how the fireworks scared her.

I woke up this morning absolutely beat (slept in till 7:30!), every bone & muscle in my body aching, every bit of it worth it.

Today – Alo’s birthday party!! I can’t believe he’s a year old already.

Yesterday Alo goes for his first swim. He really enjoyed splashing around on the step while Robb selected his football team.

Sunday morning with Alo

Yesterday we gave Robb a little help watching Alo & moving some stuff to storage. Alo’s getting bolder with his walking, taking more steps every time we see him.

We have so much fun with him. He’s curious and into everything. I’m pretty sure he said “airplane” 2x yesterday. It really sounded like “airp…” but he was looking and pointing at an airplane flying over at the time. Pretty smart.
