Tortoise, Squirrel, Dummy & Dogs

Above – Hogan… If it’s in the way, keep plugging away until it moves.

What’s that in the middle of the photo on the bush?

Why, it’s a little squirrel. (At the foot of Ladera on one of our morning walks)

Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!

More emergency crews utilizing the treachorous cliffs to dummy around.

Waiting for dinner one day.

… and then the next.

We had guests staying at our house last week. This was just after I told them the dogs don’t chew things. That bag was holding two pairs of yoga shorts. The bag didn’t move, but somehow it developed a hole in the bottom and the shorts found themselves on the floor … all wet. Bad dog.

And then the very next day, we came home to find a box of tissues chewed up. We must have gotten home in the nick of time before it got spread all over Bruce’s living room. Bad dog.

Slip Sliding Away

Alo and Kando on the slide …

PicassAlo ..

Friday night dinner at Ranchos.

Sparty didn’t like that …

Maya is right at home on the counter at our house.
Akuch called to my attention that I missed mention of other people in this photo that I posted the other day. Behind Robb and Alo you’ll see Jen, Maya, Ron and Sparty.

Hogan’s soaking up what’s remaining of the afternoon sunshine. As soon as the yard fills with shade he disappears for the rest of the day. Take note of the blooming orchids.

Only in OB … OB Beauty Queen taking a smoke break while waiting for the beauty to happen.

Merry Go Round, Music & Mouse

Above – Robb & Alo ride the Balboa Park Merry Go Round when they were here a couple weeks ago.

Below – Sparty saying cheese after music. As part of the routine, after class he climbs on the chair to get his shoes on.

Last Friday after having dinner at Fiddler’s, look who had been sitting in the booth next to us the whole time, and we didn’t even know it until they got up!

In this video you will see how incredible Maya has gotten in gymnastics. She is at home on the high and low beams. No other child in her class can walk backwards on the high beam with no spotting, or walk the low beam jumping over the marks without falling. She is a stand out! In this video she’s on the high beam first.

I’m in a workshop this weekend and gearing up for another one next week.

I’m feeling accomplished now that I received the final tax returns for filing that I worked so hard on and the Trust accounting is now complete – 4 mega projects off my plate. Now I just have to find time this weekend to review them before giving approval for filing and getting the payments in the mail Monday.

A Few More

Above – Watch out, here he comes!! Kando is STANDING.

Below, Alo helped me make fresh squeezed orange juice. I love it how kids are always so happy to help at this age.

Enjoying the fruits of his labor…

Seeing things through Amma’s specs.

Happy boys!

More from the birthday celebration

Above – Everybody (even Elmo) gets in on the action.

There was so much excitement around “Amma’s Famous Cheesecake” and dinosaur candles we had to light the candles and sing one more time.   Even Great Grandma sang happy birthday to herself.

Missing in the above photos – Robb, Kando & Pappa.

Kando being Kando.

Early morning bath time with Amma. Little did I know Robb gave him a bath before bed the night before. Oh well, Alo doesn’t seem to mind.

Sunday morning breakfast before the drive home.

Word has it the family will be back for a longer visit in July.

Cousins Reunion & Birthday Celebration

Above – Amma’s famous cheesecake.

Below – Cousins silliness on the stairs.

Kando – Baby Boy Wonder. Kando is not only adorable, but hes ath most content baby I’ve ever seen.

The adults had fun too!

There are other photos shared by others I will share on another blog. But now, off to “the real job.”

The Sparts

Above – Say cheese!

Look at those curls! Sparty loves having his hair brushed.

Can you spot the curls in this music class group photo?

Now this is pretty darn cute. A must watch to put a smile on your face.

Good Morning Hogan!

Above & below – Friday night bathtime with Amma.

The kids got to try out some new bath toys I bought. Too bad you can’t see them (the toys, that is).

The Sparts is always ready to say “cheese!”

Hogan came out of hibernation Saturday. Ziggy hadn’t met him yet and was (& still is) quite curious. I think we’ll need to provide some supervision for a while.

Walnut Creek Easter

Above – A sad Easter Bunny sits all alone. According to Robb “Alo didn’t like him.”

I think this is Alo’s “I don’t like the Easter Bunny” look …

Kando appears to be enjoying his real food.

Such a happy big boy!

It looks like someone scored this Easter.

We’ll get to see them later this week. I can’t wait!

Hogan came out of hibernation yesterday and Ziggy didn’t quite know what to think of him. Hogan only spent a short time outside his house on his first day, just long enough to get a drink of water then run for cover.

Ziggy may need some supervision for a while …
