Above … Alo and friends.
At gymnastics, Maya enjoys jumping in “the pit.” Here are the last two videos I took Wednesday.
The one below shows her climbing out of the pit so she could do it again.

Above, Alo eating a juicy nectarine.
Bruce’s “procedure” went fine. He survived the ordeal and is now back to normal, whatever that is …
I took four videos of Maya at gymnastics yesterday. I’ll share two today and two tomorrow.
Here Maya was picked as the “demonstrator” so the coach could show all the kiddies what they’re supposed to do at this balance beam station.
And here Maya shows off her trampoline skills.
What you don’t see in the video is ME jumping up and down along side her on the floor. Jump Jump Jump …
This morning while Alo was sitting in his high chair, I was standing next to him and he pointed to my stomach and said “belly button.” hahahaha. And when I was walking out the door to take the dogs for a walk, I said “I love you,” and he blew me a kiss.

It’s quiet now after the morning rush of people dropping off their colonoscopy victims have left. Lots of people who don’t know how annoying it is to everyone else when they don’t turn their phones on mute at the doctor’s office. At least the tv isn’t on. Lucky us… we get to be here early because Bruce needs antibiotics first because of his alien body part.
I have my audiobook, Stephen King’s “Mr. Mercedes” which is a KILLER book (pun intended). I have 7 hours and 1 minute remaining (about half way through) of this detective mystery complete with SK’s twisted humor and mental twists, and I’m on an edge of my seat, can’t stop listening audiobook thrill ride. The reader, Will Patton, is the same reader of another book I listened to recently, “The Son” (highly recommend). He’s got the perfect voice for this type of narration and is doing a wonderful job of expressing the essence of the book.
It looks like I’ll be hanging out here in this waiting room until about 11:30-noonish while Bruce gets “scoped.” He survived the prep and, most importantly the night, so this is the easy part.
The wifi here is slow, so uploading the videos I took of Maya yesterday probably won’t make it to YouTube before I’m done with this post. Looks like they’ll have to wait until tomorrow.
But I did catch a couple moments in photos I can share. Throughout the 1 hour class, the instructor will gather the kids before moving to a different station. It takes a while before all the kids gather.
And it finally leads to this …
I really wish I could do that right here, right now in this waiting room! For reals … I’ve thought about it.
After gymnastics, Pappa always stops and gets Maya a fresh organic juice. Maya wasn’t sharing until she drank all she wanted.
Later in the day Hogan decided to do a little climbing up the stairs. Here’s where I found him …
Entertainment from the colonoscopy center … A poor old man had to come back looking for his dentures!!
Check in tomorrow for some gymnastics videos starring the one and only Number One Granddaughter!

This kid just keeps getting smarter every day. This morning he was playing with his car and I said “wheel.” He looked at me and watched me very closely as I said the word several times. Then he said “wheel” and pointed to the wheel. Then Pappa was watering in the front yard while Alo watched from the window and said “wassat?” I said “water.” I said it a number of times and then he said “wah” that soon turned into “water.” Seriously. It amazes me how he can hear a sound, look and see how the mouth forms and then repeat the word. I’ve never seen anything like it with a little one this young.
Here’s a video of Alo “doin’ his thing” and hanging out with Bear.
Alo and Akuch are off to meet their friends at the beach, and I’ve taken the morning off to go to gymnastics with Maya. The fun never ends!

The picture above is L-R, Ehrman (the Mighty Ruler), Gloria Goldberg (my teacher) and me. As I mentioned a couple days ago, Gloria was awarded the Lighting the Way award for her dedication and service in the field of Iyengar Yoga. I met Ehrman a couple years ago at an Arrowhead retreat. He’s an opera singer (baritone), and he sung the most beautiful song for Gloria and Guruji following her receiving the award.
Happiness is …
… Alo, under the highchair with his belly button.
… and being IN the highchair with his best friend, Ernie.
… and HUGS!!

We went to help Ron with the kids last night because Jen was out of town. Big help I was … Maya wanted chocolate milk, so I fixed it for her. She didn’t want me to use the smaller cup and pointed to a larger one. So I grabbed the bigger cup, mixed the chocolate milk, put the lid on & handed it to her. Next thing you know, Maya’s standing in a puddle of chocolate milk. Evidently there’s a little plastic piece that belongs in the lid that wasn’t there. So it was a hole.
We sat outside for a little while and Maya wore her helmet while she pushed her little pink lawnmower around the yard. Pretty adorable.
Then she decided to take an outdoor shower fully clothed …
Then I undressed and mummified her.
This morning, day 5 of a day in the life – Akuch feeding Alo breakfast.

Although I haven’t actually talked to Robb since he made it safely to SF Sunday night around 9:30pm, he sent this photo of his view of the Golden Gate Bridge from his new job. I don’t know any details, but thought I’d share this.
Something funny … Sunday afternoon, Bruce was showing Akuch how to use the tv in her room and I was doing something in the kitchen. All at once we heard Alo crying for help. Akuch made it first to the bathroom where Alo had tried to save Ernie from the bathtub (no water was in it) and was teetering on the edge, arms and head inside, feet in the air on the outside. Unhurt and recovered from his misadventure, he moved on with Ernie in his arms, looking for trouble elsewhere…

It started at noon when I went to watch Maya and Sparty for a couple hours. Sparty was awake most of the time and he cried only minimally. He spent a while in his ultra playground. I thought I took a video, but realized later it turned out to be a bad, blurry photo instead.
Maya got a package in the mail from Grandma JoJo – a brown scrubby monkey for the bath and a soft, lightweight Cleveland Browns blanket. Maya loves it!
We took a couple Sparty selfies …
Then Alo’s big move-in at our house. While Robb & Akuch organize their belongings, Alo stakes out his territory.
Robb will be leaving shortly to begin his drive to the Bay Area to start his new job tomorrow.
The view from the kitchen window tells me today is going to be another beautiful sunny day. Flo turns 80, and Janni would be 64.
