He is such a happy boy these days. I guess he’s making up for all the tears & commotion of his baby days. In the photo below, he looks like total mischief!

We celebrated with a small gathering last night for pizza, salad and ice cream cake.
The before and after cake photos. You know it’s your second child when you totally space out & put the cake within arms reach of the 1 year old. Everyone was so preoccupied, Sparty had the opportunity to grab a handful of frosting before we knew it.
Of course, a bath was required to clean up all the cake mess.
We also Skyped Robb Akuch & Alo. Akuch’s stomach is HUGE!! And still two months to go…

This is one messy eater!
We had a last minute babysitting gig yesterday. With no food in the house, the kids split a Salisbury steak Lean Cuisine for lunch & loved it. By the time they were done & as you can see Sparty had food everywhere. They were both great & we had a good time.
Two more days and this little bugger turns ONE! The countdown begins.

We had an all nighter last Saturday with Maya and Sparty. Above, Maya and Pappa watch the metamorphosis of the sponge creature. Below, Maya helps Pappa make meatballs while Sparty naps. You can see the sponge creatures drying on the paper towel behind her. The yellow citrus peeler was our “magic wand.”

It must have been Easter or maybe we were dressed up to go shopping at Woolworth’s with Grandma that day, I don’t know. But I didn’t like getting dressed up. No surprise there.

Skyping Sunday night, Alo put on his happy face, counted to 10 for us and told us the colors of his, Mommy’s and Daddy’s shirts! Oh and showed off his new ambulance that makes three noises.

Cape May is getting very close to being done. The floors are beautiful, but covered with paper for protection while finishing work is done inside, so I don’t have photos yet.

We Skyped last night from Ron & Jen’s. All seems well in the Bay Area. Alo showed off some of his numbering and color skills. Here’s a photo Akuch sent me earlier in the day yesterday.
