The year – 2006
JR
NO more days until Thanksgiving. It’s here!
Blogged on my iPad with LOVE!
Everybody likes donuts…
(Watch out Max. Looks like someone’s going to push you in…)
Bruce and I have taken on the property management of my mom’s Cape May properties. Bruce is installing new mailboxes for three of the units, and hired a handyman to pour some concrete where the mailboxes will be in between the two front houses. Evidently yesterday the handyman poured the concrete and then left for a while to wait for it to set before going back to finish it. Bruce told me he got a call later from the handyman …
“There’s a problem.”
“What kind of problem?”
“There’re footprints in the concrete.”
“Can you fix it?”
“Yes, but there’s still a problem.”
“What kind of problem?”
“You’ll have to call the tenants. The footprints are small.”
At this point in the story, I burst out laughing. Bruce called Morgan to see if the kids were home. JR was. I can just picture him happily skipping home from school, turning to come down the walkway and his excitement in seeing the wet concrete. I wish I could say I had a picture to show you, but I don’t.
Now does this look like the face of mischievousness?
Stay tuned the next couple of days for more pictures of the photo shoot.
From WORK with LOVE!
In this next picture, it looks like he’s blowing smoke rings … of the spiritual kind, of course.
I’m going to see the little bugger today, so that means more pictures on tomorrow’s blog.
I selected the location for the family photo shoot Sunday morning. We’ll be meeting at Shelter Island near the Bali Hai restaurant. When you turn left to go to Bali Hai, turn into the big parking lot & park on the WEST side. See the big red “X” on the map below. That’s where we’ll begin our photo journey – at 8am. There should be plenty of parking.
I chose this spot because it has a San Diego feel to it – the bay, a wooden dock, palm trees and sailboats. We’ll be on the west side because the sun comes up on the east and shadows on faces are bad. There’s a lot of contrast here to make for a great San Diego family photo. If it’s overcast, we may also get some shots from other locations on Shelter Island. Suggested Attire: plain colors, preferably jeans and casual shirts/blouses, blues & whites, or whatever.
With LOVE from HOME!
Yesterday OB Elementary recognized those students who were exceptional in certain areas. Here’s the group of kindergartners waiting patiently.
Andy got a SuperStar award for math!! It was also for either reading or spelling or something like that. Here’s proud Andy with his award.
Mo didn’t get an award, but I think he should have at least gotten one for being so cute and behaving himself:
And I just want to point out that I’m not the only one thumb sucking in kindergarten…
And what would a posting be without a picture of Alo taking a bath? I really think this should be a centerfold picture.
These are just a couple photos I took from my cell phone. There are many others on the camera I’ll share after they get downloaded.
Maya gets a thrill ride
Jamie’s phone has a close call with the chips & dip

Craziness comes in 4’s …
Cousins Monette & Maya
Check in later in the week for more pictures, especially those of the birthday boy & Loftis family. All those pictures are on the camera waiting for download.
We start the afternoon with a jelly bean tasting.
Followed by roast beef sandwiches (& a pickle, of course) from the Olive Tree.
& Mo in blue.
Then comes Maya dressed for the Zoo. Sunscreen – check. Sunglasses – check. Hat – check.
& here we are at the Zoo.
Check out Maya waiving to the camera.
There are those pesky insects …
We happened to be in the right place at the right time. Zookeepers walked by with an ocelot they were training on a leash. They stopped for us and we got to see it up close and personal.
Then more fun playing around.
Check out this little baby salamander.
I’m hungry …
Ah, finally …
Yay. Something else to climb on!
And snakes …
Then, after dropping the boys off, Maya visits with Great Grandma.
Boy, am I tired!
How fun was this? Turn up your volume.
