Hogan loves the kids and the kids love Hogan.
There’s a girl bun too.

Alo and Kando didn’t have any problem eating ice cream out on the lawn when they were here.
Gotta love this look on Sparty’s face. It’s his favorite “go to” look whenever something’s not going his way.
I feel a little out of sorts blog-wise. I apologize for keeping you (my readers, whoever you are, and assuming anyone read this …) hanging without a post for so long. Although it doesn’t take long to post, I’ve still been busy with not much spare time.
To sum up a few things that are going on…
First, and most importantly, Mom is doing much better. It appears her eyesight may still be improving, she’s been walking, and she doesn’t have to wear that uncomfortable heart monitor anymore (she had to wear it a full month).
The PMB office move was successful. My workload has increased because of it, but I’ve been chiseling away at it and hope to get back to normal in the next week or two. The office space they provided for me is small and I share it with another person, but neither of us spends much time in the office so it works out perfectly. The office is in Sorrento Valley with a view west toward Torrey Pines. The best part of the office is a huge roll up door looking west, and you can hear and see the Coaster go by. I think of Alo every time I hear it and think how much he’d like it. Last Tuesday I taught the corporate yoga class outside in the shade with a cool breeze (& the train).
My yoga classes are growing steadily. I subbed a Monday morning class for my teacher in La Mesa for 6 weeks. That class is large and the students are great. Here they are in Salamba Sarvangasana (aka shoulder stand) the last class I subbed.
16 students fit wall to wall with no space in between the mats.
It’s Sunday and there’s nothing on my calendar besides walking the dogs, practicing and working in the home office. That’s a good feeling!
Sushi anyone? Two dog beds and two dogs on one bed.One sticky mat, one yogi and one dog.
Padmasana doesn’t come easy for me with two bad knees, but I’ve decided to make this my project for the coming months. Working with my legs up the wall is helpful and I’m only able to get into this pose with the left leg in first. The right knee is much worse than the left but I’ll keep working on it.
Pray for peace. Seriously. Whether you’re a believer or not, put it out there.

Om, Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
Above – Oh no, Kando. Just say no!
The day before the family left to head north I spent a while with them at the beach.
Alo wasn’t so sure if he wanted to go in the water at the beginning but ended up enjoying it a lot. Kando, on the other hand, had no second thoughts. At the end of this (long) video is a spliced in piece of what our beach neighbors were up to… Some good, sandy, competitive beach fun.

Below – Maya decided to get herself a drink of water. She didn’t know I was watching.
Wednesday at music, the kids sit on a blanket for story time. This was at the beginning when everyone was sitting quietly.
Here’s what happens next …
Robb and family are leaving this morning after breakfast. It’s been a fun week and good to see all of them. I’m especially grateful the cousins were able to get together for some good fun and bonding.

Above – Brothers.
And below, Kando on his 11th month of life birthday. This little guy gets all over the place.
He’s not only cute, but smart too, and a really good baby.
Grand finale off the OB Pier view from our upper deck. It’s always nice to not have to drive anywhere to enjoy the show.
On July 5th Ron brought the kids over for a pizza get together and cousins playtime. We were able to get everyone to sit still briefly for some family photos. I took a lot of pictures, but had to sift through them to find the best ones where almost everyone was looking at the camera.
The more kids in the photo, the more difficult it is to get what I would consider the perfect shot.
The kids had a blast. I have more photos to share in the coming days.

Above – There’s never a shortage.
I haven’t shared many selfies lately, so I went through my recent photos and pulled these up. The first one with Maya was taken on Father’s Day on the Seal boat while on land.
I took this one last weekend at the OB Street Fair. Don’t mind the owie on Sparty’s bottom lip. It was a minor incident that occurred while he was on a fun outing with Rachel (nanny). It healed up nicely.
I took this little gem Wednesday in the parking lot before music class. Even my silly singing and looking for big trucks, tractor trailers, motorcycles and the like couldn’t keep him awake in the car. I was even reaching into the back seat, tugging on his legs and feet and he still wouldn’t budge. Robb and Akuch arrived late last night. I head them sneak in but I haven’t seen them yet. I’m off to an early start this morning to a cat scan appointment with Mom so it may not be until later this morning or afternoon before I get to see them.

Photos from Robb & Akuch taken earlier this week at the San Francisco Zoo. Word has it they’re driving down today and will arrive later this evening.
And Sparty … Amma succeeds in wearing him out again. He was totally passed out when we pulled up to the house at 2pm after gymnastics and he slept until 5! I put him on the bed and took his shoes off, he opened his eyes briefly to take a look at his surroundings and then out he went, gymnastics sticker on his foot and all.
Here’s Ron hard at work …Looks like a tough dress code.

Above – The walk home wasn’t a “walk” for these two tired kids. Ron got his workout for the day.
I ran into my good friend and student, Maribeth, with her OBYoga water bottle. And we saw Kiss (cover band). But most importantly the kids rode the ZipLine. They’re fearless. Sparty amazed me that at 2 years old he climbed right up that ladder and allowed somebody he didn’t know to strap him in, and down he went. Twice. I didn’t see any other kids anywhere near his age doing this. In fact, Maya was probably the next youngest.
They loved it!
