After the Street Fair Saturday we paid a visit to the tractors parked in front of our house. There are still tractors, tractor parts, piles of dirt and gravel, pipes and other miscellaneous items and equipment lining our street.
And a video with Ron and the kids of some tractor silliness. As you can see, we’re all making the very best of this situation!
Happy Fathers Day to all you fathers out there, but most particularly to the fathers in my life- Bruce, Robb & Ron. I love all of you very much.
Then, amidst the turmoil life brings, there’s always tractors!!
Our neighbor sent me this photo yesterday of his dog, Nestor. He had no idea we’ve (well, really, I’ve) also been having fun with the new additions to the neighborhood. But no worries, I had one of my own I took while on our walk yesterday to fire right back at him! Then I couldn’t resist – What can I say? I’m just a silly Amma!
I hope your day is filled with … Tractors!
In memory of my own father. Dad, I miss you every day.
Above – Friends Sparty, Valerie, Eva & Maya after gymnastics.
More tractor fun below. We’re taking advantage of the infrastructure work being done up our alley. There’s never a shortage of tractors!
When Ron came to get the kids he joined in on some yoga fun while the Sparts took the longest nap in history. I wore him out in a big way at music and gymnastics.
Maya picked out these beautiful flowers for Great Grandma (from the whole family). Blogged on Amma’s iPhone with LOVE!
Above – Friday was a tough day for Bear-Z. She had her teeth cleaned, 4 teeth pulled and 3 lumps removed from her hind legs. She came home tuckered out and still under meds. The poor girl couldn’t even keep her tongue in her mouth. I worried she’d have a tongue that sticks out all the time, but it’s back to normal now and that worry’s over. Ziggy also had his teeth cleaned and 1 lump removed from his chest but he pulled through as though nothing happened. Must be his youth.
Below – Elmo watched on while the kids took a bath last night in the big bathroom. They thought it was hilarious.
Brianna and Omar came in last night after their drive from a wedding (not theirs) in Salt Lake City. We heard rustling around in the kitchen and woke to find they somehow made space to fit a bunch of leftovers AND a Marie Callendar’s cherry pie in the fridge. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
Check out Maya in this video compilation I took last week. She went across these monkey bars 8-10 times and by the end of our stay there, she was swinging from one bar to the other without stopping in the middle. This takes a LOT of strength for a not-yet 4 year old. Quite impressive!
I saved the bad news for last. My dearest, long-time friend, Evan Stone passed away Saturday night in his sleep with his family by his side after a 2 ½ year battle with stage 4 lung cancer. I was fortunate to visit with him Friday. He was comfortable and being well taken care of. For nearly 24 years he was my comrade, confidant, friend and brother, and I will miss him horribly. RIP my friend.
